Hei Hei Introduction
Hei Hei is a small rural settlement located in the Canterbury region of New Zealand. It is situated on the banks of the Hurunui River, approximately 10 kilometers south of Kaiapoi and 50 kilometers north of Christchurch. The settlement has a population of around 200 people and is known for its scenic surroundings, including the Hei Hei Conservation Park and the surrounding farmland. The area has a rich history, with evidence of early Māori settlement dating back to around 1250 AD.
